The ERASMUS intensive programme entitled “Small Scale Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving ” aims to contribute in the knowledge dissemination on the ongoing and rapid developing sections of RES. The general aspect and covered subjects of this IP are related to contemprary small scale renewable energy technologies and several energy saving technologies.
The IP is mainly related to undergraduate students in the last year of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering and technological education in general. Moreover, the IP is also related to postgraduate students in RES, power generation and environmental management. The criteria for the choice of the participating students will be: semester of studies, performance in related lessons of the Programme, adequate knowledge of English.
The structure of the IP contains theory lectures, laboratory practice, and a final project preparation from the students. The continuous cooperation between students and professors will result the fast and effective transfer of knowledge. Moreover, the contribution between professors of different Universities will improve the cooperation between the participating Universities, correspondingly. The laboratory equipment of TEI Crete is up-to-date, and a significant part is coming from research and development projects. The laboratory equipment will bring to students a practical experience in the renewables and building energy sector. In the students that will complete successfully the programme, a Certificate of 3 ECTS will be given, which can be used in the completion of their University studies.
